LumaChannel is a new kind of broadcast platform — an internet TV channel that runs around the clock. There's no schedule to check and no episodes to wait for. Turn it on and something is always happening.

Built from scratch as a show-agnostic streaming platform, LumaChannel can host any interactive show format. The platform handles real-time broadcast, audience participation, episode archiving, and seamless transitions between programming blocks.

The First Show: The Divine Watcher

The first show broadcasting on LumaChannel is The Divine Watcher — a live interactive RPG where the audience takes on the role of gods, sponsoring characters through dangerous trials in real time. It's the perfect showcase for what always-live, participatory entertainment can look like.

This Privacy Policy describes how LumaChannel ("we," "us," or "our"), a product of Wavy Technologies, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our streaming platform.

1. Information We Collect from Viewers

You do not need an account to watch LumaChannel. When you view the broadcast without an account, we collect only:

• IP address (anonymized after 90 days)
• Browser type and version
• Viewing duration and session timestamps

2. Information We Collect from Registered Participants

If you create an account to participate in interactive shows, we collect:

• Username and display name
• Email address
• Password (hashed with bcrypt, never stored in plain text)
• Payment information (processed through Stripe)
• In-show interactions (votes, bids, blessings, predictions, chat messages)
• Watcher account data (XP, Watch Level, gold balance, show-specific progress)
• Chat messages and participation history

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to deliver the broadcast experience, process real-time interactions, manage your account and purchases, improve platform stability and performance, and communicate important updates about the service.

4. Real-Time Data

LumaChannel uses WebSocket connections for real-time interactivity. During live shows, time-sensitive data is processed within specific windows:

• Audience votes: 45-second voting windows
• Avatar Possession bids: 90-second bid windows
• Critical State interventions: 60-second response windows

This interaction data is recorded as part of the show's World State Log and persists as part of the show's history.

5. Payment Information

All payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe handles all PCI-compliant payment processing. Transaction types include Deity Pool entry fees, blessings (minor and major), Avatar Possession bids, Omniscience Scrolls, gold purchases, and predictions.

6. Data Security

We implement the following security measures:

• Passwords hashed with bcrypt
• JWT authentication tokens with 15-minute expiry and secure refresh token rotation
• Rate limiting on all API endpoints
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit

7. Data Retention

• Anonymous viewer data (IP addresses) is retained for 90 days, then purged
• Registered account data is retained for the lifetime of the account
• If you delete your account, personal data is anonymized within 30 days. Aggregated show data and World State Log entries are retained in anonymized form.

8. Cookies

LumaChannel uses cookies for the following purposes:

• Essential cookies — authentication, session management
• Functional cookies — viewer preferences, volume settings, display options
• Analytics cookies — anonymized usage data to improve platform performance

9. Children's Privacy

Paid features and account registration on LumaChannel require users to be at least 18 years old. Anonymous viewing of the broadcast is available to users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
