You Are the Gods

In The Divine Watcher, you don't just watch a character — you become a deity influencing their journey. Vessels are unique RPG characters who run through dangerous trials: combat encounters, moral dilemmas, and escalating challenges. Every Vessel is persistent. Their wounds carry over, their choices matter, and their fate is shaped by the audience watching them.

As a Watcher, you spend real currency to bestow blessings, cast votes during critical moments, bid for direct Avatar Possession, form Constellations with other Watchers, and forge Pacts with your chosen Vessels. The show never pauses. The stakes are always real.

Unique Vessels

Every Vessel is procedurally generated with distinct attributes, flaws, and personalities. No two journeys are the same.

Audience Voting

When critical moments arise, Watchers vote to influence the outcome. Weighted votes ensure engaged participants have meaningful impact.

Blessings & Curses

Spend gold to bestow minor or major blessings on Vessels. Buff their stats, heal their wounds, or change the battlefield conditions.

Avatar Possession

Bid for the right to directly control a Vessel during a trial. Take the reins and make the decisions yourself in a 90-second bid window.

Constellations & Pacts

Form Constellations — pools of Watchers backing the same Vessel. Forge mutual Pacts that grant unique abilities to both deity and Vessel.

Tiered Progression

Vessels progress through escalating tiers of difficulty. Clear a tier, enter Purgatory, and prepare for the next cohort of challenges.

How It Works

The Divine Watcher broadcasts live on LumaChannel, our always-on streaming platform. Tune in at any time to watch Vessels face their trials. When a critical moment hits, the audience has a limited window to react — cast a vote, bestow a blessing, or bid for direct control.

Under the hood, every action resolves on a d100 percentile system. Target numbers are calculated from Vessel attributes, modifiers, and difficulty ratings. Critical successes and failures create dramatic swings that keep every trial unpredictable. Rich narration brings every roll, wound, and triumph to life with cinematic prose.

Fair play is foundational. Spending more gives you more influence, but it never guarantees outcomes. The dice are honest, the system is transparent, and every Watcher — from casual viewers to dedicated patrons — has a role to play in shaping the story.

The Divine Watcher Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how The Divine Watcher ("we," "us," or "our"), a product of Wavy Technologies, collects, uses, and protects your information when you participate in our interactive RPG experience.

1. Watcher Account Data

When you create a Watcher account, we collect and maintain the following data associated with your profile:

  • Username, email address, and hashed password
  • Experience points (XP) and Watch Level (WL)
  • Gold balance and transaction history
  • Constellation memberships and Pact bonds
  • Access level and progression data

2. Interaction Data

We record all in-show interactions as part of the persistent World State Log. This includes:

  • Votes cast during intervention windows
  • Blessings bestowed (minor: $10–$20, major: $50+)
  • Avatar Possession sessions ($150/1 trial, $300/3, $500/5)
  • Deity Pool entries ($3 per entry)
  • Predictions placed and their outcomes
  • Pact activity and Constellation participation

3. Payment Data

All payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe handles PCI-compliant payment processing for all transactions including gold purchases ($1 = 10 gold), blessings, Avatar Possession bids, Deity Pool entries, Omniscience Scrolls, and predictions.

4. World State Log

The Divine Watcher maintains a persistent World State Log that records all game events, Vessel actions, trial outcomes, and audience interventions. This log is essential to the continuity of the experience. World State data is stored in our database and persists indefinitely. If you delete your account, your contributions to the World State Log are anonymized but the log itself is preserved.

5. Public Visibility

Certain actions are visible to other participants by design:

  • Your display name appears on blessings you bestow
  • Your Constellation membership is visible to other members
  • Avatar Possession sessions are publicly broadcast

You may choose your display name during account creation. We recommend not using your real name if you prefer anonymity.

6. Data Security

We implement the following security measures to protect your data:

  • Passwords hashed with bcrypt
  • JWT authentication tokens with 15-minute expiry and secure refresh token rotation
  • All payment processing handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant)
  • Rate limiting on all API endpoints to prevent abuse
  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit

7. Data Retention

  • Financial transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by applicable law
  • World State Log data is retained indefinitely as part of the persistent game world
  • If you request account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized game contributions are preserved.

8. Fair Play

We are committed to fair play. We do not use your data to manipulate spending behavior. There are no personalized pricing schemes, no dynamic difficulty adjustments based on spending history, and no dark patterns designed to encourage purchases. Spending gives you influence, but outcomes are determined by transparent game mechanics.

9. Children's Privacy

The Divine Watcher is intended for users aged 18 and older due to paid interactive features and thematic content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we will promptly delete it.
